Cartwheels

Photo by: Ali Pair I attempted blurred motion of a friend doing a cartwheel. I slowed the shutter speed down to about a second and held the camera extremely steady. The background ended up not exactly in perfect focus, but I liked this photo because blurred motion isn’t my strongest ability and I think it turned out fairly well.

Very nice photo and a good example of slow shutter speed. Especially handheld at one second! Next time you may want to speed up the shutter speed just a bit to fight the slight overexposure and have less movement in your friend's arms so that it's clearer on what they're doing.

I do not like this photo because it doesn’t feel like you really tried your best. The ISO and the white balance and all those camera settings seem alright, but the composition isn’t good at all. I can’t decide whether the brick wall was supposed to be the subject, or the cartwheeling girl, or even the random person in the background. The artistry isn’t there.
