October

I took this photo for my October Theme assignment. I wanted to get the colors of the fall leaves without just taking a picture of some leaves on a branch so I decided to get a photo of the fallen ones by the tree trunk. I like the sort of orangish-red tone that the photo has since it’s a fall themed photograph. I really liked the sharp focus that I got on the leaves in the forefront and the tree trunk and the colors in the photo.

This photo is a great fall picture. The different colors of red really shows how the leafs and weather are changing. I like how it’s against grass and a tree. Getting a bit closer in would have gave a bunch of detail.

Very nice shot. You used very good lighting, as well as depth of field. A nice vibrant mood, with cool Autumn colors

I love the colors in this photo. You’re right, they capture fall almost perfectly. It seems you used the rule of thirds for the trunk of the tree, and also the one large leaf at the bottom, but I wish you would have made sure to get all of that leaf in the photo. Since its cut off in spots, the trunk fights for the focus of the photo.I do like how the focus goes from sharp to soft gradually instead of instantaneously. It makes the photo flow more. Good job!
