Sweet Daydream

Taken By: Oli Toma
I took this photo for an extreme macro assignment. I went outside after it rained and took some photos of flowers with raindrops on it. I thought that it would look more detailed with the dew drops on it and it helped make the photo. In Photoshop I brightened up the petals to add more detail to see the raindrops. My camera settings were set to 1/125: Shutter Speed and my Aperture: 5.6.

The vibrant colors in this picture are so amazing. Your ability to capture all the parts, colors and water droplets of the flower is truly a gift. This is definitely a picture that I would print off, frame and hang in my room. Well done.

What I like in this photo is how the flower is what you’re supposed to be focused on, but in my case I feel as if the rain drops are what stand out the most. The element of composition that was used was close up and you really showed the close up of the rain drops and of course the close up of the flower. I feel the mood of this photo was supposed to be about a gloomy day but I feel it brings a warming feeling.
