Old School

KJ Farris
I really enjoyed taking this picture. I’m not usually a fan of taking portrait photos but this was a joy. I like to use the candid aspect. I chose a brick background, and was a little skeptical about it at first, but in the end it made for a great contrast in my opinion. After all was said and done, I used bridge to set in some good contrast.

I love the definition of shadows, I think you did an excellent job. I wish her face was turned a little more towards the camera, so her facial features were popping out a little more, but I still like the emotion on her face.

This picture has an older look to it and I really like it. Turning the picture black and white was a good idea. I like the dark edges and how she looks like she is in a lighter circle. Having her look away added to the picture because I think it adds a mystery. Great job!

I like the vignette of this photo, it brings out the subject (or the girl, rather.) The black and white gives this picture a sort of mystery, is she waiting? For what? What’s she thinking?
