Arachnophobia

By: Estefania Zavala
I’ve been trying out the reverse lens technique lately and although it is challenging, I love the results that you can get when it is done right. I followed a spider around for like twenty minutes trying to get a cool shot but the depth of field is really narrow when using this technique so it was hard because it kept moving. Although there isn’t a lot that’s in focus, I like this picture because you can see the fangs well.

This is kind of a creepy picture, just because it is an odd looking spider. But the way you took the picture is very interesting. I like the spiders face is in focus and the rest of it isn’t.

This is an excellent picture, but not one that I would hang up in my house. Good lighting and focus. Good attention to detail.

It is impressive to get a spider in such good focus. I like how the only part of the spider that you can actually see is his head and fangs.

This shot is really cool, and I have to say you are so brave for getting that close to a spider! The detail that you were able to get on the face is remarkable. Also the depth of field is really nice, I love that you were able to have the rock blurred in the front, the face really sharp and then the end of the picture out of focus.

This picture is pretty creepy, but in a good way. I like the depth of field since the face of the spider is all that is in focus. This seemed like a pretty hard picture to capture so fantastic job.

I like this photo because they blur the edges to focus in on the bugs face. It really shows the many features of it and the lighting helps a lot too. This picture gives a creepy feeling.
