Going Places

This is a photograph of my sister Amanda. For a project, I had to take senior portraits. Luckily my sister is a senior. The boat was borrowed by a neighbor; it was interesting to get that to my back yard. This was one of the beast experiences I have had with photography. We both had fun and if I had to, I would do it all over again.

I think this picture is okay. She really isn't all that much in focus. I don't really think taking the umbrella and turning it into color really makes the picture pop. I think that her reflection in the water looks really cool.

I really like this image. I like how everything is grayscale except the umbrella. It draws attention to her and the boat. I like how the image is clear and not blurry. I also think the reflection brings a warm feeling to the viewer. Good Job.

I like how you used the rule of thirds for placing the girl in the photo, but I can’t help wishing that the whole of the boat was shown. I can’t help but see that the focus is sharpest on the water, while the girl’s face isn’t in sharp focus, is that what you went for? It would almost be a sad photo, except for the pop of color from the umbrella, so good job.
Good job :D

This is a really nice picture,. I love how the only color in the photo is the umbrella. You did a good job filling up the frame and focusing on the composition. There are some parts in this picture that are a little too bright, but other than that great job.
