This photo was taken in my backyard; my shutter speed was 1/400. I really admire the sunset in the trees and the brightness of the flag, and the way it’s waving in the wind. I did have to brighten it in Photoshop, but I am really happy with the results. (:

I love the backlighting on this picture, it brings out some great colors. I just wish the Flag was over into the blue sky a bit more instead of hidden in the tree. I love the patriotism though.
I like this photo because of the sun in the lower left hand corner. The element of composition used is rule of thirds. The lighting is great, might I add. The mood reminds me of the Fourth of July sunset.
