This Moment Forever

Photo by: Samantha Frasier I took this picture while we were in Seattle during December. My favorite part about the picture is that the couple is not moving but life around them keeps going. The cars driving and people walking, but they are in their own world. I used a slow shutter speed to capture the movement.

This is a really cool photo! I like how you captured the story in this picture that they are in love. I also like how you made it black and white because it sets the mood to be calmer. You used a slow shutter speed to capture the moving car behind them, yet you still kept the couple in sharp focus which is really cool to look at. You also used Rule of Thirds effectively to make sure the viewer’s eye draws to your main subject. I like how it looks like they are frozen in time, yet everything else keeps on moving. Overall, it’s a great picture!

The idea to have a slower shutter speed was brilliant. The effect makes it look like the two are in their own little world. This helps to give a story to the viewer about the couple, so good job there. I also think there is a good range in between the black and white tones.
