Grasshopper

Maddison Keaton

In this photograph, I took a picture of a grasshopper hanging on for dear life to a wheat stalk in my backyard. It was a brief opportunity, but I think it turned out great. It was definitely difficult to capture him hanging around before he ultimately hopped away.

I love everything about this picture. I like how the bee is really sharp, but it's off center. I also like how the only colors in the picture are gold and brown. Good job!

I really like the sharpness of this photograph. Also, the grasshopper stands out just enough to be a noticeable subject without detracting from the wheat. I like how there are visible layers in the composition: the grasshopper, the wheat stalks, and lastly the blurred out background. How were you able to achieve this layering?
