Sea Shells

This photo was for a macro assignment we did. I used the sand and shells my mom got from Costa Rica. I tried getting even closer than this but it didn’t really work out. The one thing I would have done differently was probably more lighting, and make it more of a macro photo. But I still like the way it turned out.

The lighting of this photograph really is intriguing to the eye. The shadow effects caused the eye to be able to adjust easily from the light part of the picture to the dark corner. The texture used but the sand and the deep ridges of the sea shells looks really professional. It keeps the eye coming back to the clear point of interest.

I like the side lighting of this picture. The depth of field is also really cool. I like how you can see the detail of all the dirt and how it’s more than just one shell.

I like the warm colors here. The details on the shell turned out really well and I like how everything else is out of focus.

Good picture, I really like the lighting in it and I like that it shows a little depth of field.

The color in this picture looks kind of pink, and I think it looks cool. I like how some of the shells are out of focus, while the one in the middle is in focus.

This picture is so cute; I love the sand on the shells. Depth of field was a good choice with this picture to make the front shell in focus and the rest of the picture not in focus. The exposure in this picture is a little funky however.
