I got this shot using the reverse lens technique since I don’t own a macro lens. I wanted to just get the anther part of the flower in focus and have the rest of the flower just act as a nice, plain backdrop. I also wanted to try and capture the pretty colors of the cherry blossoms.
I shot this at 1/250, f/0, with an ISO of 100.

This photo is gorgeous. I love the way the tips of the anther look like they are floating because the stem part just blends in with the rest of the petals. It's almost like they are being thrown out of the photo, so it gives it a nice 3D effect. The colors are also very nice, I love how it's dark at the center and then it kind of fades from there. Very good job :)
I think this is a nice picture, I like that the flower peddles are out of focus it shows some depth of field.

This is a great picture. I love how the pedals are not in clear focus, but then the flower gives off a 3D affect. I think the lens technique is great for not having a macro lens. Great job!

neat picture. i like how the tips of the flower are the only parts in focus. the soft background is good; not too blurry but visible. the colors are good. the lighter colors are in the back and out of focus and the brighter colors are sharp and up front. the tips almost look like they're floating.
This is a great picture! It is awesome how the tips of the flower look like they are just floating. I also love how the rest of the flower is blurry in the background. Everything about this photo is great.
When I saw this I was like, “whoa… how did they do that?” This is so cool though. The fact that the only thing in focus is the tips and everything else is blurry. It looks really good for some reason.
This photo was taken by Kelcey Olson from Rogers High School. The flower in this picture looks so cool. It doesn’t even look like a flower at first. The vantage point is directly above the flower, looking at it from a bird’s eye view. The pollen stick things look like they are just floating in the air. I like how the main focus is the pollen balls and the flower in the background is blurred. She managed to capture the colors of the flower really well. The intense dark color in the middle of the flower is a really good contrast to the light pink of the petals.

This photo has a cool effect. I love the way the tips of the flower stand out agianst the blurred background. The tips look like their not even part of the flower at first glance. The colors are also really pretty in this photo.

This photo really caught my eye because of the ends of the flower. I like how they are the focus and the petals are blurry. The colors are nice because the flower petals are white which makes the yellow and red ends stand out even more.

This is a very pretty photo! I really like how the photographer thought outside the box for this flower picture. Instead of focusing on the pettles, she captured the seed like part. However, i really like the use of depth of feild, and how the veiwer can still see the flower in the background. The colors are also very nice and pop. Although the photographer did not exactly avoid the dead center, the photograph does not look awakward. The veiwere's eye is still lead through the entire picture. Very nice job!

What I like about this photo is all the buds are super clear. The elements of composition being used is depth of field. With the foreground in focus and the background out of focus. The lighting is good and the focus is great.

It is interesting how the flower seems to be jumping out at me. I like the technique you used to just allow the pedal part of the flower as the background, and the anther part as the main focus. Very unique.

This is a great picture. I love how it looks like its in 3D. The way you blurred out the pedals and focused on the inside of the flower. Great Job :)

This is a really good picture. I like how the flower is some what reaching out to the camera. It gives the picture a lot of depth. I think the colors are really goo d too, very bright.

This picture is very pretty. The colors are very bright. I like how the part of the flower closest to the camera is in focus and the flower behind is out of focus, it gives the picture a lot of depth.

I really like this picture. The colors are bright and bold. It is really cool how the inside of the flower is closer and more clear and the pedals are blurred. You can see the depth of the flower.

The angle of the flower is very interesting. It makes you think what the flower actually looks like. I think the colors could pop more to bring more attention to it. All together its a very beautiful and interesting nature shot.
