Gridiron

This photo at first was not supposed to be a macro photo; it was just of my little brother talking to his football coach. But when I really looked at it I saw started to experiment with Photoshop and cropping. In the end this is what I thought was the best way to have the photograph. What I like best about this photo is the lighting and the placement of his eye. You really get drawn to it. Also it is an unordinary and that’s what I’m all about.

My favorite thing about this picture is probably the mood that the whole thing emits. The dramatic look in the player’s eye, the shadow of the helmet, the lights faded in the background.
The thing though is maybe you were on the wrong setting, but it’s a bit blurry. You can pull the mood – which I would say is melancholic - off well still, but maybe if it were to be in focus, you could portray it even better!

What I really like about this photo is how the main focus is the football player and that its all about him you cant see what’s around him its just him and I think that’s what makes it different most people would try and get everyone in it but I think this photo looks better with just him in it because you know what’s going on.

Very cool photo. I feel like I am there watching the game from the sidelines. Nice, full framed close-up shot. It gives off a very aggressive sports-related mood.

This picture is okay. The lighting is a little bit to dark. The shadows really hide the eyes and I think that would be a good focus. The intensity in the eye is really nice and that’s why it would be cool to focus more on that.

This makes me think of the hard work and determination of playing sports. You can see it in his eye that he is ready for the game. It’s cropped nicely and it sticks to the rule of thirds. I really like this.

I feel like this photo could be a still frame from a movie. Your brother was only speaking to his coach, but he looks so serious as if he were about to go through the final play of a game. I love how the small triangle of light draws you to his eye instead of the grate on his helmet. Well done.

There is great intensity in this photo, the focus is just right, the emotion comes through perfectly.
