Accordion Man

I took this photo in early December in Seattle. I walked down town and around Pike’s Place Market and saw this man with his accordion. I thought it would make a cool photo because of the angle I had of him. I was able to catch part of his grin and captured the accordion from its best side. I used a filter to give the canvas look, also black and whiting the photo to give it more emotion.

I really like this picture. I love the black and white effect; it gives the picture more spice. I think this photo has emotion and the man seems happy to be playing his instrument. The angle is good too

It is hard to apply a filter to a photo and still make it look professional, but you did a good job with this photo. Despite the filter, you can tell where the focus is. Using black and white was also a good idea. Nice job!

I actually like the filter used in photoshop on this picture, which is a rare thing. The lighting is great, it makes him stand out against the background. Though you can only see a bit of his face, he gives off an optimistic mood.

The editing you did to this picture is really what makes it unique and very professional. To start, the subject is very rustic looking and the accordion and the way he is looking out towards the crowd—great job leading the eye—really tells a story. I like the gradient that put on the picture, along with the black and white. These factors truly make the picture look aged, but in a good way.

I really like how this picture was put into black and white; you can really get the feel of the picture rather than it being in color just like every other picture. Fill the frame is used here. The focus is very clear in this picture.
